stroboはディープかつ無二無三の個性を表現する場として発足、かつその個性を表現している日本人アーティストに焦点を当てて(stroboの前身のワンオフパーティはFocusという焦点を当てる意味のパーティで、それがたくさんの日本人アーティストに焦点を当てていくストロボ stroboというパーティとしてバージョンアップして)来ました。
stroboは青山にある0 Zeroや代官山にあるAIRで開催しているEUREKA!とは違い、実験的な場と捉えハウスを軸にするものの既存にない新しさを表現したり、strobo特有のパフォーマンスに取り組んでいます。
今回ロンドンから来日するIttetsuはまさに自分が思い描く独自のスタイルを貫く日本人アーティストの一人です。
彼は昨年stroboに出演してくれたジュンさん Jun Akimotoとロンドンを拠点に活動し、Enzo Siragusaが率いるFuse Londonという土曜日の夜から日曜日の朝までのハウスを主体とするパーティに毎回通いパーティが発信するの音楽・雰囲気を感じ取り日曜日はスタジオに入って作曲に励んでいました。
その中の曲がEnzoにNinja(＝忍者)だ、言わしめた1018という作品とJun AkimotoのDo Thisという作品です。

ということで10月12日の夕方から終電位まではstroboへ、その後朝まではsolfaから徒歩10数分で行けるAIRで開催される久々のKerri Chandler来日ギグ、Ralph LawsonとSimon Bakerが来日しWOMBで開催されるSleeping Bag Presents 2020 VISIONのショーケースへ行くのがオススメです。自分はそのパターン◎
明日金曜日を乗り越えれば三連休の方が多いと思います。徐々に秋めいて来て良い季節を感じられる週末になると思います。
